These figurines represent Daruma, the man who brought buddhism to Japan. They are used for wishes: when you make a wish, you paint one eye; when you wish has become a reality, you can paint the second eye. May your wishes come true...
This is my last post until next month, unless I have an opportunity to find an internet connection but, as you know, France is not such a developped country (just kidding).
Please comme back around the 3rd or 4th of august.
Meanwhile, I'd like to make a little survey: my first idea, when I'm back is to post pictures of our trip to Japan (march 2007). Here's the question: would you like to see the whole trip in one piece, like what I've done for New York or the Southwest, or do you think it would be more enjoyable for the viewer to change every day, mixing pictures of everyday life with travel pictures, according to the mood?
Waiting to hear from you. Cheers!
