Echuca (Australia) is a charming little town by the Murray river, refurbished to restore its former glory of the pioneer days. Steamboats cruising on the river are the main attraction.
Yesterday, I read in a little book (Schott's original miscellany, Bloomsbury, London, 2002) that saint(e) Véronique was the patron saint of the photographers. I recommend this book to those who want to have fun learning useless things like the winners of the Oxford-Cambridge regatta since 1829 or the location of the players on a cricket field...).
So, why sainte Véronique: she's the woman who wiped off Jesus' face during his calvary, thus collecting his image on the cloth...
